Now I can’t remember where you wrote it but it is helping me let go of unwanted thoughts the way a tendril of good intention reaches out and finds where it needs to go ( the air energy it seeks)
Yes! It’s from this piece. That was the advice/comment that the ceremony leader made durinf the teaching portion of the ritual. I thought it was beautiful. Both acknowledging that when we are in it, it’s not easy to stop immediately, but also having the awareness to know we want to change focus, and giving ourselves permission. I love that it’s helping you!
I loved this so much. Loved your journey, the comfort you found with not knowing. Also made me realize what a big commitment the ritual was. Very informative. Made me wish you would write a short story some day. Thank you Emma what a gift your writings are 🙏❤️
I am part way through reading this and it worked into my dreams. In the dream I was in a ceremony at the base of a group of mountains. I looked out to see mountains within mountains. My subconscious knows that your words speak to a common thread between us. Your explorations speak to my heart and I look forward to reading the rest and other essays you have written.
Lindsay, this is really meaningful to hear. I am so thankful. Yes, a beautiful thread - I feel this - shimmering with our remembering and ever deepening presence with Life.
What an amazing essay, Emma. I found reading this to be informative and inspiring in many ways. I like your point about "I do not know and a subsequent I do not need to know" and how that has affected your life. Such a subtle yet important distinction. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Ahh Neil thank you so much for reading! I know it was a longer piece, and I appreciate that you took the time. The “I do not need to know” is something I am still integrating, and like going back into an old journal entry, it was really helpful for me to go back into this essay are return to that place of remembering. I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
Ok was it here that I heard you use the phrase,
“5 minutes of drama” ?
