I loved this. The perfect choice to dive back into your writing after my winter doldrums (a very dark period this time around). Your offering reminds me so much of the poet Mary Oliver and her relationship to the world of plants and critters. I've been reading "Why I Wake Early" this winter. If you can get your hands on a copy, I highly recommend it. Check her out. And thank you!!!
I love seeing you here! And I love that what I am sharing reminds you of Mary Oliver. She is one of my favorites thanks to You! I remember reading her "Wild Geese" on your fridge many times over the years 💗
I still love that poem. I've committed a couple of her poems to memory so I don't have to keep her book beside me to enjoy them. Every morning when I wake up I recite "Why I Wake Early." The dogs think it a little odd, but it helps start my day right. If you can't get hold of a copy, I could email it to you. Thanks again for your writing; I felt so present at your experience, a hitchhiker in your knapsack!
ah amazing, so fiery, lovely thank you
I feel like I got a dose of the essence from the picture you painted through the story. Thank you for the medicine words!
