Very thoughful essay, Emma. Once someone recognizes that resonance/resistance, the experience of the present moment becomes a way of life. For myself, getting into that resonant state is a continual process. The past few years, hiking in Nature seems to help me the most. Thank you for sharing.

I agree so much about it being a continual process, and yes, very much a way of life. It seems as though recognizing our resonance is at the very heart of it. I’m with you about being with wild Nature as a way to connect with that state. I’m thankful for that touchstone. Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts Neil!

Great essay Emma. “When we resonate with our own vital force current, we always feel good.” Sounds simple—of course we feel good when we are truly ourselves—but it’s anything but.

Exactly so - what is simple is not always easy. And so we make it a way of life, and as they say practice makes perfect. Maybe we don't perfect it, but I'm open to the possibility that 10,000 hours of practice leads us to a certain level of mastery. 10,000 hours of feeling good, feeling truly ourselves. Can we do it?

10,000 hours of feeling good should be easier and more common than it is. I’m wondering how far back I would have to go to tally 10k hours up to right now. Probably further than I would like. Feeling good more often:A worthwhile aim for all of us.

energies in motion, right?

i’m glad to read and resonate with your explorations on this. there’s an old proverb from the place i’m from that says “from sadness comes strength” with strength loosely translated as force/energy or “newen” as the indigenous mapuche say, which is that vital force that you refer to 💙
